It began with my husband wanting me to make a car seat cover for a co-worker.  He talked me into it by saying I could make a new version and post it onto Fleece Fun.  I committed to doing it – the guy knows how to play me sometimes.I then thought I should do a post on how many of the “fleece” patterns on the site can also work with other fabrics, it’s getting warmer here in the northern hemisphere and fleece is not a summer fabric.  So I thought I would kill two birds with one stone – I present to you the baby car seat canopy with a “peek-a-boo” window. This pattern is not for beginners (I suggest you start with the traditional patternif you are a beginner) but I have admit that I am pleased with how it turned out!  I visited a local fabric shop that sells all the wonderful fabric that I gaze at via Etsy, but never buy.  I bought some…it was a lot of fun to sew on.So to demonstrate that you don’t have to use fleece on Fleece Fun I have made the latest version of the cover out of cotton for spring.  You can get the pattern here.

Some other ideas are to use t-shirt knit to make a hat using the basic hat pattern, you could also do the same for the boutique pants pattern and the basic child’s pant pattern. Enjoy!
