I presented this idea over the summer, but the truth is that it works any time of year! Have a Christmas movie night with a fun twist for the kids – make it a drive in theater! Have the kids make their “cars” and set a up a Drive in theater in your living room. Better yet have them earn tickets to buy refreshments at the “snack stand” (great way to get some holiday cleaning done!). Here’s the best part I have bunch of printables to make it extra fun!
Let the kids decorate their cars with crayons and stickers, add the decals of the headlights, grill, doors, wheels and license plates for extra fun! For the free printable and tutorial on how to make the cars just click here.
For a sign for your snack stand and to “dim the lights” on your car just go here.
To let kids have variety (but keep portions small) I like to use little cups to put candy in. It is also more cost effective because you can buy the candy in bulk. Click here to get the free printable and free tutorial for the candy labels.
Tickets and Large Punches
These tickets are a great thing to earn for snacks and these large punches look great when taped to the side of a popcorn box or cup! Get the free tutorial and printables here.
