Where I live the schools needs all the help they can get. In Utah 33% of our state of local government funds are spent on education and we’re still one of the dead last states in spending per a student. We love kids in Utah – so much we have a LOT of kids. While our state supports it as best it can – giving it a third of its budget – we still seem to end up short because of the huge population of children.
That’s where parents step in – we help as volunteers, buy supplies, support fundraisers, etc. We want the best for our kids and their future.
That’s why it’s so great when companies like Tyson® and Walmart get together to help support local schools.
Tyson Project A+™ is a way for your family to eat healthy and help out your school. You can purchase product like Tyson® Grilled and Ready® Chicken Breast Strips, cut out the Tyson Project A+™ label on the back and submit it for money to be donated to your school. Tyson Project A+™ is also on several other Tyson® products – just look for the label!
Not only that, right now you can share your school’s story here. The school with the most nominations will receive a packet of labels worth $1,000 to help their school get a head start on collecting Tyson Project A+™ labels. I know that would be a huge help to any school!
Be sure to check out this post , where I share a fun, fast and healthy dinner using Tyson® chicken.
What extras do you do to help out with your local school? I would love to know in the comments below!
