These delectable bars are three layers of yummy. A perfect combination of texture and sweetness these sinful bars will disappear quickly leaving only a few crumbs behind… and even then fingers might comeback to snatch those up! A sugar cookie base with a devil’s food middle and a crumble top make for a dessert that is sure to please the palette. Devils Food Crumble Bars Recipe
Ingredients
- Sugar cookie base:
- 1 1/4 c Perfect sugar cookie mix ( you can find that recipe here)
- 6 T butter softened
- Devil's Food Middle:
- 1 c melted butter
- 1/2 c brownie bliss mix ( you can find that recipe here)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 c semi sweet chocolate chips
- Crumble top:
- 1 1/4 c Oatie mix ( you can find that recipe here)
- 6 T butter softened
- 1/2 c pecans
- 1/2 c walnuts
Instructions
- Sugar cookie base - blend ingredients together, press into a greased 8x8 or 9x9 pan
- Bake for 15 minutes at 325
- While the base is cooking prepare the the brownie middle. Mix ingredients Once the sugar cookie base is baked , Devil's food mixture on top and bake for 10 - 15 minutes at 325 ( so it's somewhat set up, but still gooey).
- while Devils food on the cookie base is baking blend together the Crumble top so it's crumbly/ chunky. Once Devil's food section is cone backing, evenly distribute on top and bake at 325 for an additional 25 minutes..
