Up and Dress: Greet them as explorers. Have them dress in comfortable clothing for being outside. I got the cute pith helmet and binoculars at my local dollar store. My girls really liked getting dressed up at explorers.

Prep to leave on an expedition! Have the kids help you prep “supplies” for your expedition. Pack some snacks and a lunch.
Physical Activity: Take the kids to a new park or a walking trail for them to explore. You can find a trail near you by visiting this website – https://www.americantrails.org/resources/statetrails/ Just let the kids walk around and discover the new terrain.
Physical Activity 2: Scavenger Hunt! Using the free printable here – https://www.thetaylor-house.com/2012/03/nature-scavenger-hunt-for-kids.html have your explorers conduct a scavenger hunt. first one to complete it gets a prize!

Quiet time/ nap time: There are several excellent books at your local library on explorers that your kids can look at. Little ones get a nap.
Open play/ free time: Let your kids imaginations take over – who know what amazing discoveries they can make in your back yard!
