Where is the pattern?

Because you are printing the pattern from home, in most cases you will have to assemble parts of the pattern.

For Newer patterns:

Follow the map and assemble in order 1, 2,3, etc. The grey lines overlap and should line up. Tap together. Then cut out patterns before using nice sewing scissors. See video for more instruction

For older patterns:
On the second page there is a picture of what the completed, assembled pattern will look like (it’s at the top of the page so you’ll know it’s not the pattern).
The pages following that picture are the pieces to the pattern.
All of the pages overlap .5 inches.
At the top and bottom you will notice small lines ( _ I )these are guides to help you line up the pages.
Tape the pages together.
Because the paper you’ll be printing on is much thicker than the tissue paper of most patterns, I recommend pre- cutting the pattern with your paper scissors so you don’t dull your sewing scissors.
Now you’re ready to use the pattern! The great part is that you can just store these patterns and use them multiple times because they are so sturdy.

I have a 2 year old boy’s birthday coming up and would love to make him a fleece robe. I love this site and will continue to come back. Thank you for all you give.

  6. Recaptcha not valid (0.3)
I keep getting this error message when I try to download the Harry Potter robe. I wanted to sew this robe for my Granddaughters Birthday Party (Harry Potter Themed)!!
Thank you for you time and attention to this matter, Diane

  7. My daughter asked me to make a fleece car seat poncho for my grandson. I was thrilled to find a free pattern on your web site. I was able to print the pattern, but when I tried to open the link to print the instructions, the link wouldn’t open. Would you check the link to print the instructions?

Thanks very much! I’m excited to start this project.

  11. Thank you so very much for setting up this site for us to enjoy. The time and patience you have given for this wonderful educational series is so appreciated. Have a wonderful day, Rose

  12. You used to have a pattern on your site for a car carrier cover. You made yours with fleece and lined with flannel. I took the pattern and made it with white eyelet and didn’t line it. It works great for the South where we have already been in triple digits with temps this year. It is the most fun pattern I have. I love it! It makes up so nice in the eyelet for the summer. It keeps the sun off but allows air to flow through. Thank you so much for that pattern.

  13. Love your site. When I made the Harry Potter-inspired robe, I sewed an elongated patch pocket to the front edge lining to keep the wand at the ready to be whipped out for charms. Pocket on the lefthand side for a righthanded child, of course.

  14. I want to make a circle skirt for my Granddaughter. I know she’ll love it. But the fabric only has about 10-15% stretch, so I’d like to put elastic on it instead of the yoga band. Do you think that the circumference at the top of the pattern would be about right if I add a soft wide elastic to it? Do you have any suggestions for me? Thank you! I love your patterns!

    1. HI Sue, I honestly can’t tell you if that will work or not – my patterns are offered as is. But I don’t think that sounds like there is enough stretch for it to work with this pattern.

  15. A question on your Easy Fleece Vest. You made a pattern overview in the instructions and included a drawing of the pattern pieces. If I enlarged that drawing, could I get it to properly fit a 18” doll. Or would I have to fool with re-drawing. Would the collar fall like on the adult pattern. I love this pattern for adults! Thanks for any suggestions.
