Sewing baby clothes is so much fun! I love choosing the perfect print and the softest knit. The great thing about baby clothes is that they take such little fabric and come together so quickly.
I’ve drafted this basic baby tee for you to use for your next project. Because little ones grow so fast, I’ve included 4 sizes (3-6 m, 6-9 m, 9-12 m, and 12-18 m). Of course, each child is unique, so doing a quick comparison of the pattern pieces with a tee that fits well will guarantee a good fit.
The tee features long sleeves, but you could easily hem them shorter if you wished. The neckline is finished off with a simple band. I used cotton lycra for the tee in the pictures, and I recommend using a knit that has at least 50% stretch and good recovery so it doesn’t stretch out and stay that way!
