Video Tutorial Here, Written Below:

Step 1

Cut two 2 inch strips ( you might have left over binding from previous projects) that are 11 inches or less in length.  ( I recommend that you keep the tether shorter than 11 inches to avoid potential strangulation issues.

You will also need a either a hair band or a piece of round elastic that is 5 inches in length.

Step 2

With right sides together, pin the two pieces of cuddle together length wise.  Sew together using a half inch seam allowance.  Turn right side out.  I like to use a safety pin to help me.

Step 3

Add the clip.  Slide the clip onto the strip, Then tuck in the ends of the stip into it’self about a half inch.  Then sew the end of the cuddle strip to the back of itself to enclose the end of the clip.  Tip to make extra strudy may want to do this more than once.

Step 4

Take the piece of round elastic, fold it in half and tie a knot in one end.  Tuck in the other end of the tether in itself a half inch and insert the elastic in between the cuddle fabric.  Top stitch through all the layers, again I recommend doing this more than once as it will be tugged on a lot.  Trim your threads.

What a great idea!! It is so handy for the mom and her baby. It is awful to have a “binky” or a “pacifier” and you have just fed and burped the baby and the item drops. You then need to wash it and the baby could be crying. This would be a life saver. Wish I would have thought of it when I had my children. Piece and blessings, Vicki
