Why bloggers need Facebook groups (Blogust)

[vc_row full_width=”” parallax=”” parallax_image=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]I used to be “lone Wolf”.  A solitary blogger that could make it on her own.  THen I went to a blogging conference.  I met some great bloggers.  bloggers-need-facebook-groups-pinWhile I was chatting with one of the bloggers  found that she was from Utah also.  She asked me if I was part of a Utah bloggers Facebook group.  Told I had never heard of it.  She pulled out her phone and got me an invite to the group.  This group turned out to such a great resource!  I was able to ask questions about ad networks, get recommendations for plugins, and get warnings about potential pitfalls or scams.
After seeing what a resource this facebook group was – I started to look for other groups that I could be a part of.  THere are so many different facebook groups out there!  THere are “sharing groups” that can boost your instagram, pinterest and stumbleupon groups.  There are groups for food bloggers, craft bloggers and so on.  There are groups for creating roundups and for sharing recipes.

Here are a couple of great lists of known facebook groups:

Now here’s the secret – there are several “secret” groups out there that aren’t listed and you need to know someone in the hgroup, or meet certain requirements.  To find these groups, ask around and see what is out there that would be a good fit for your blog.

The group is in the spirit of sharing.  eaning people are not only asking for help, but also giving it.  Be sure to not just take but also to give.

Don’t just take on group’s word for it.  Ask multiple groups to get different perspectives.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”” parallax=”” parallax_image=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Keep your guard up – while most groups are safe and are bloggers just like you – it is the internet and you need to make smart choices.

Facebook groups can be a tremendous resource and boon to your blog.  Start looking and see what can help you out![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
