Braided ear warmers are super trendy for fall, but all the patterns I’ve seen are for knitting or crochet, two skills that I have yet to learn. So, I decided to use the skill I do best, and pull out my sewing machine, to make this cozy winter accessory.
Instead of yarn, this version is made out of soft, affordable, stretchy fleece. I choose to use microfleece for mine, but regular fleece will work, it will just be a bit bulkier (and warmer!). You can also use stretch velveteen, french terry, or really any other knit fabric.
This project is super simple to sew up, and the pattern is suitable for a beginning sewist. These would be a perfect gift for a friend, teacher, or just someone who needs something cozy to cheer them up.
