Muslin Baby Bib

One of my favourite baby accessories are large muslin blankets. We used them for everything, but now as my baby is getting older, I don’t find myself reaching for them as often, so I wanted to repurpose them. I decided to create a set of soft bibs. My little one is teething, and his chin can get tender from being wet all the time, so these soft bibs will keep him dry and won’t irritate his skin.

I’ve created a printable pattern for you so there is no guess work. This project can quickly be done in an hour or so and is perfect for a beginning sewist.

The pattern includes directions for adding snaps, but you can use whatever closure you prefer (buttons, velcro, etc). I used muslin, but this pattern will also work with nearly any light to medium weight fabric.
