How to make flag football flags diy

Made with Oly*Fun cloth these belts are great for outdoor play. You can also make them from several different colors for your team. These are an easy sew and you can adjust the size for the age group (obviously the flags on my little model are a tad long).
YOU WILL NEED:
- 1 yard of Orange (or any color you desire) Oly*Fun Cloth
- 1/2 yard of White Oly*Fun Cloth
- 2 1.5 inch D rings per a belt
- Sew on Velcro
- Sewing Essentials (pins, scissors, etc.)
How to make flag football flags DIY
Step 1 – Cut out pieces, begin to sew
From the white cloth cut the pieces of the flag football belt. Cut 2 strips that are 3.5 inches wide by 20 inches.
From the orange cut 3 strips that are 7 by 20 inches.
Cut 3, 1 inch sections of hook and loop
Step 2 – Make the belt
Using a .25 inch seam allowance sew each of the strips end to end to make a long belt.
Fold the belt in half and sew together.
Turn right side out.
Top stitch along both sides
Loop one end through the two D rings and sew on.
Step 3 – Make the Flags for the football belt
Fold the strip of cloth in half lengthwise. Sew together using a .25 inch seam allowance.
Turn right side out.
Top stitch either side.
Sew on the loop at the top of the flag and sew hook 5 inches down on the flag (just loop it around the belt to get placement).
Last step: Have fun playing football with your kids! You have now completed the Flag Football Flags Tutorial!
