I confess I live in the neighborhood with the good candy. You know that neighborhood that kids beg their parents to take their kids to. Needless to say that means seriously stocking up on candy, and decking your house out in Halloween splendor. Today I’m sharing a fun fast craft that is perfect for adding a little spooky touch to your home (and a way to have it hide a sweet secret). I stopped by my local Walmart, headed to the seasonal candy aisle and grabbed some seriously bags of Hershey candy.
Chocolate, mmmm the good stuff.
While I was there I also grabbed a few supplies for my little decor craft.
For this Project you will need:
3 -4 hard back books ready to upcycle
Spray paint
Mod Podge or sticker printer paper
Fleece Fun’s Free Spooky books printable ( get that here)
Masking Tape
Hershey’s Candy – You can purchase that here.
Fake Cobwebs
Step 1
Once you have all your supplies remove the dust jackets from the books and tape off the pages. Spray paint
Step 2
Print up the printable. Cut is out and adhere to the books either with sticker paper or Mod Podge. Note: Mod Podge only works on Laser copies.
Step 3
Place fun decorations and candy around your new “spooky” library. You can of course hollow out the books for “mummy’s secret stash”. I won’t tell anyone.
What a GREAT way to store all that secret candy 😉 LOVE IT! I would DEFINITELY have to hide my Reese’s. 😉 #client
