This Easy Leprechaun Hat Décor is a simple craft that you can do with your kids! This fun activity is a great way to celebrate St. Patrick’s day.

Easy Leprechaun Hat Decor

Step 1 – Prepare Your Workspace and Paint the Pots

Lay out an old newspaper or a piece of scrap paper before you get started.

Paint each pot green and let dry (terra cotta pots dry super quick). Paint second coat if needed (I only needed one)

Step 2 – Add Glitter to the Rim

Turn your pots upside down and draw a small line of glue all the way around above the rim of your pots and use the side of your foam paint brush to spread it evenly making about 1/4″ inch of glue.

Sprinkle your glitter onto the glue over a plate or the garbage so it doesn’t make a mess.

Step 3 – add the Buckle and Display Your Easy Leprechaun Hat Décor!

Now cut off a 2″ piece from your pipe cleaner and form into squares.

Carefully got glue your pipe cleaner squares into the black glitter strip and let your pots fully dry.

Nice work! Your Easy Leprechaun Hat Décor is ready to bring some luck to your space! Set it on your table, add it to your mantel, or gift it to a friend—it’s a fun little touch of Irish charm. And hey, with all that glitter, it’s practically gold!
