Cookie Butter Hazelnut Shake by Frenchie on Fleecefun.com

Let me start off by introducing myself, I’m Lindsay with Frenchie. I’m really excited to be a contributor here at Fleece Fun and to be working with Angel. I’m glad I get to show you guys what treats I make at home with my family and show you that I love to be in the kitchen! I also love to be in the craft room! If you visit my blog, that’ll show a lot. I’d also love for you to follow me on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.

Now to get to this delicious recipe. It taste like a bit of Nutella because I used the Cookie Butter that has the chocolate mixed in. I have to be honest and tell you that I’ve never had the regular Cookie Butter. My kids loved this shake but didn’t like the chocolate/butter mix alone but once I added it to something they were hooked. Trader Joe’s is a good 20 miles away so I only go when I’m in the area and get the real ‘necessities’ needed in life like their ginger snaps!

What you’ll need:

  • Bananas
  • Ice
  • Milk
  • Hazelnuts – Trader Joes sells these for around $7
  • Cookie Butter – Your choice

Cookie Butter Hazelnut Shake Recipe

Place all your ingredients in a blender, I just use my Nutribullet. I dream about a Blendtec every night but for now this does the job! I did chop the bananas to help it a bit but it was a rough chop. Once it was blended it wasn’t icy enough for me so I just added more ice. This is really just a recipe that can be adjusted to your tasting. That’s what I love about cooking, it’s whatever you feel. You don’t have to stick to the recipe. If you don’t like it, omit it. I also have a love/hate relationship with little helpers in the kitchen too. I’m the worst when it comes to things like that. It’s really with everything. I have a problem relinquishing control and wanting things to stay a certain way but I have to remember that they need to learn too. I’ve seen that they too have some of my perfectionist quirks and I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing.

Just pour and enjoy! I hope you’ll try and love this recipe as much as my family does. We really have a fun time making smoothies together and like I said before I’m trying to let them learn and make ‘healthy’ choices. This has some healthy factors, you wouldn’t have to use as much cookie butter. The recipe with all the measurements are below. I’ll be back next month with another great recipe!

XOXO, Lindsay
