Sew
Seam allowance is 1/4″ unless otherwise indicated.
1.
Fold cuff in half, wrong sides together, so that long edges meet. Press and sew 2 buttons onto the cuff through both layers, centering them on the cuff.
2.
With right sides together, pin and stitch cuff to bottom of leg (take care that you don’t sew it to the waist; they look similar!).
3.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 with other cuff and leg. Sew legs, right sides together, at front and back crotch seam.
4.
With right sides together, sew inseam.
5.
Overlap ends of elastic by 1/2″ and secure with a zigzag stitch.
6.
Sew elastic to the wrong side of the waistline along the top edge.
7.
Flip elastic to the wrong side, encasing the elastic. Stitch into place with a zigzag. I like to insert a small piece of folded ribbon to identify the back (the back rise is higher than the front).
