Seam allowance is 1/4″.
Sew side back to back bodice, right sides together. Fold seam allowance toward side and topstitch.
Sew back skirt to back bodice, right sides together. Fold seam allowance down and toptstitch. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with front pieces.
Sew fronts to back at shoulder seams, right sides together.
With right sides together, sew curved edge of hood. Hem face edge 1/2″ to wrong side.
Pin right side of hood to right side of coat. Face edge of hood will line up with marked fold line on front bodice. Fold the front bodice to the wrong side over the face edge of the hood to form snap placket. Stitch. Turn snap placket right side out.
Hem sleeves 1/2″ to wrong side.
Insert sleeve into armscye, right sides together. Sew underarm and side seams.
Edge stitch snap placket along raw edge. Your stitching line will continue into the previous stitching line from the hood face edge. Apply snaps. Because the curved bottom edge is difficult to hem, I just left it raw (softshell fleece, like most other fleeces, doesn’t ravel). If you prefer a more finished look, you can bind or face it with bias binding.
