Step 1 – FOLD AND SEW USING THE PATTERN

With WRONG sides together, fold front piece so that notches meet at the front neckline. Sew, using pattern marking as your guide.

Step 2 – Press and Sew on Buttons

Press the box pleat open. Sew on buttons.

Step 3 – Sew Shoulder Seams

Sew right and left shoulder seams, right sides together.

Step 4 – Finish the Neckline and Armholes OF THE button tunic

Finish of neckline and armscyes with narrow bias tape.

Step 5 – Sew the Side Seams

Sew side seams with right sides together.

Step 6 – Hem the Bottom Edge OF THE 18″ doll button tunic

Finish bottom edge. Fold up 1/4″ and press. Topstitch hem in place.

Step 7 – Finish the Center Back Edge

Finish raw edges of center back. Fold over 1/2″ to the wrong side.

Step 8 – Attach Velcro AND FINISH THE button tunic for an 18″ doll

Stitch on Velcro as shown.
