Yum these Cinnamon bars look easy to make and really yummy! Such a great recipe idea for dessert.

I am proud of myself. I did not scour the internet searching for similar recipes, Yum these Cinnamon bars look easy to make and really yummy! Such a great recipe idea for dessert.I came up with this all on my own! I tend to use a lot of cinnamon in my daily life whether it be a smoothie, canned fruit, baking, etc. I love cinnamon. I thought this treat could be something of a gourmet cereal treat, or the “white” version of the s’mores treats. One thing I love about making things like this is it takes less than 10 minutes from start to finish. The longest part is waiting for them to set up so you can dig in and enjoy! I could see these treats being a festive neighborly treat you could deliver during the winter holidays. While the ingredients are familiar, the composition is unique unto itself (at least that I could find post making them.)

Cinnamon Toast Cereal Treat Bars

Author: Aaron Peterson

Ingredients

  • 14 oz bag miniature marshmallows (save 3 cups for mix in)
  • 1/4 C . Margarine or Butter
  • 1/4 C . Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 1/2 C . White Chocolate Chips
  • 1 C . Cinnamon Chips
  • 8 C . Cinnamon Toast Cereal

Instructions

  • Grease 9X13 pan or a pan of your choosing and spray with non-stick cooking spray. I thought it would be fun to make this look like a tiered cake (something different). Add margarine, light corn syrup, white chocolate chips, and 11 oz. of marshmallows to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave 2-3 minutes until melted, stirring every 30 seconds. Add the cereal to the mixture and then add the additional marshmallows and cinnamon chips. Press into prepared pan.
