This fleece ruffle skirt tutorial is an easy sewing project. It looks so cute over a pair of leggings and is a great way to add layers for warmth! This Fleece Ruffle Skirt tutorial is easy to follow and perfect for adding some cute warm layers!  This skirt uses a 1/2 yard of fabric you can easily find affordable pieces in the remnant bin to save some money.

The weather is changing and everyone is pulling out their fleece again! My daughters love wearing cozy skirts with tights and boots for fall, so I designed this skirt to be a fun twist on a simple fleece skirt.

With only 2 pattern pieces to cut, it is a simple sew, suitable for beginner sewists. The bottom tier is gathered to the main skirt, giving it a fun flounce and also allowing for freedom of movement to play! You could use two different coordinating fleeces for a different look.

An elastic waistband makes it easy to pull on and off, but I’ve added a faux drawstring on the front for an interesting detail. No worry about a choking hazard; the drawstring is only a few inches long.
