Halloween Dress Up Vest

One of the most special parts about Halloween is the costumes. Why not make it even more special for your child by sewing a costume just for them! Now you can, with a fleece vest pattern that coordinates perfectly with the Halloween hat pack free pattern and tutorial.
I chose to sew up a little green vest for my toddler to wear with his dragon hat. Of course, in typical toddler style, he is convinced it is not a dragon, but a dinosaur, so we’ll go with that!
The vest features elastic at the arms and waist, a sweet little collar, and a velcro front for easy dressing.
This free pattern is available in sizes for baby (0-6 months to 18-24 months) as well as children (3/4-11/12). My nearly two year old model is wearing size 18-24 months.
You can download your free pattern, and view the complete tutorial, here.

Jess! I love this pattern! It’s cute, and functional. I need to make this for my little boy.
Okay, not sure what I’m doing wrong or not doing, but I cannot find the vest pattern. Even though I already subscribe to your emails I re-subscribed, I clicked on all the options, I looked in the free pattern section, I went to Graceful Threads, which said return to your sight, so I’m stumped, I usually don’t have this much trouble, any suggestions? vickie
Okay, I must be blind in one eye and can’t see out of the other one. I tell you the truth, those 2 pumpkins were not there the last time I clicked on patterns and tutorial, sorry to bother. Hope this was your comedy relief for the day. vickie.
Angel, I had a dickens of a time downloading the vest pattern too, although I finally got it after I re-subscribed!
I always allow cookies but it didn’t matter I could not access the pattern until I re-subscribed
Does this patter include allowance or should allowance be considered when cutting the fabric? Thanks
seam allowance is included 🙂
