There is something magical about fall.  This fall fairy costume looks so easy to make, and I love all her pictures of her girls in the fall foliage!I had to make these fall fairy costumes for my girls.  I had fun taking pictures of my fall fairies.  This costume is easy, beautiful and wonderful for pictures.  You can read a little more about the photo shoot here.  Get the instruction on how to make the costume below.

T-shirt

This fall fairy costume looks so easy to make, and I love all her pictures of her girls in the fall foliage! For the fairy costume I took plain t-shirts and ironed on a cute design that is based on my Welcome Fall Collection.  You can grab that free iron on here.

Skirts

This fall fairy costume looks so easy to make, and I love all her pictures of her girls in the fall foliage!I made the tulle skirts the easy way – just tie to a ribbon.  Tip: sew ribbon end to elastic to make the skirt more comfortable to wear.

Wings

The wings I got bought for a whopping buck at the dollar store!

Hair

This fall fairy costume looks so easy to make, and I love all her pictures of her girls in the fall foliage! This fall fairy costume looks so easy to make, and I love all her pictures of her girls in the fall foliage! For my little girls hair I glued some fake leaves together and added a clip to the bottom.  For my other little girls hair I used a simple fall piece that is designed to a be a candle wrap as a crown.

Wands:

For the fairy wands I had a lot of fun. Here’s how I made them:

You will need

tulle,

ribbon

wooden dowel

small pumpkin

paint

glue gun

drill

Step1

Paint the dowel to make it the color you want

Step 2

Drill a hole the bottom of the pumpkin large enough for the dowel (because the pumpkin was on the heavy side I made sure it was at least half way into the pumpkin).

Step 3

For some sparkle I glued some branches around the pumpkin

Step 4

I added tulle and ribbon around the base

Step 5

Add leaves to finish off the wand!

A few more picts:

We just had a fairy playdate where the girls all made similiar fairy headbands and created fairy houses with items they found at the park. It was so much fun. I’m sure my daughter would love this costume. Thanks for sharing! We’d love for you to share on our homemade costume parade.
