This Easy Homemade Body Scrub makes for a wonderful handmade gift (or you can make it for a little treat for yourself!). The ingredients are inexpensive and it’s easy to scale up the recipe to make a few batches at once!
I love how this homemade salt scrub combines the use of essential oils with red lavender buds and lemon juice. This particular salt scrub uses Lavender and Lemon to deliver a pleasant combination of smells and some special benefits as well.

The Benefits of Lemons Essential Oil: This oil is believed by some to help reduce depression, and anxiety as well as help you feel energized.
Benefits of Grapeseed Oil: Grapeseed oil absorbs into the skin easily and can moisturize skin.
YOU WILL NEED:
You can mix this up in under 5 minutes and it makes 1 half pint jar of salt scrub.
- 1 cup salt of your choice (I used coarse for this scrub)
- ¼ cup grapeseed or coconut oil
- Juice from one lemon
- 1 tablespoon lavender buds
- 15-20 drops lavender essential oil
- 10-15 drops lemon essential oil
- Half Pint Jar for storage/ packaging

Easy Homemade Body Scrub: Lavender Lemon Salt Scrub DIY
Step 1 – Gather your ingredients

Gather the ingredients. Be sure to double check the expiration dates on all the items before mixing.
Step 2 – Begin to mix the ingredients to the homemade body scrub

Add the salt, and grapeseed oil to a medium sized bowl. Lightly stir.
Step 3 – Add the fresh ingredients to the Easy Homemade Body Scrub

Juice the lemon and add to the bowl. Add essential oils. Gently stir in the lavender buds. Stir until mixed well. Scoop mixture into a half pint sized mason jar.
Step 4 – Give to a friend or keep for yourself!

Use 2-3 times per week to slough off dead skin on the body. Enjoy your Easy Homemade Body Scrub!
Tips when using/making this scrub:
- This scrub should not be used for the face; only the body.
- If coarse salt is too gritty for your liking, you can substitute with fine salt for a softer scrub.
- Salt scrub contains oil; please use with caution in the tub, as this could cause surfaces to become slippery.
- Scrub should be used within 4 months for freshness
