No Sew Hobo Purse

This no sew hobo purse is a snap to make.  You can make a functional hobo purse that requires no sewing!  no sew purse tutorialThis is a great project for a child that likes  crafting or sewing.  The pink exterior in the photo example is netting that can be found in the  bridal/ prom section of your local fabric store.

You will need:

A printed out version of the free .pdf pattern
2/3 yard fleece
2/3 yard netting (optional)
Scissors

Video Tutorial Here – written below:

Step 1 – Assemble the pattern and cut out pieces

You will need to assemble the pattern.  For instructions on how to assemble the pattern click here.

When cutting the fringe, cut down the black line to the outline of the pattern.
Once you have assembled and cut out the pattern it’s time to cut the fabric.

Step 2 – Cut out the Pattern

Cutting out this pattern nicely is crucial to it working properly.  Please take you time.

Cut 1 of the purse body and 1 of the handle.  If you want to use netting, cut an addition purse body piece from netting.

Cut 1 of the Handle out of Fleece 9 can also cut additional out of netting if you desire, but I like the contrast.

I recommend cutting out the entire outline first, and then go back and cut slits for the fringe.

Step 3 – to tie purse together

Take on end of the handle (where the fringe is) and Taking one side of the purse match up the first strand with the first strand, tie together using a square knot or a bow.   tie all the way down.Do the same on the opposite side .

In the example you can see how the handle is supposed to tie to the purse body edges.

Step 4 – Trim

If you desire you can trim the fringe ends shorter  or just leave it – enjoy!

This purse is adorable! Two questions: What is the pink fabric that you used…and directions say “netting” optional…how is the netting used?

Do you have an actual video for assembling the no sew hobo bag or just still pictures? I can’t seem to figure out how to attach the handle. Thanks
